| Your current position | Next useful action | What it solves |
|---|---|---|
| No job | Apply through Phone ? Jobs | Gives you scheduled shift income |
| A job, but low pay | Train its promotion skill and complete shifts | Opens the next pay level once performance reaches 100% |
| Spare time between shifts | Pick an eligible side gig | Adds income without changing careers |
| ?500,000 plus a separate cash buffer | Look at the POS Stand | The cheapest configured business |
| Enough for a larger asset and its losses | Compare businesses or haulage | A larger daily income route |
| Bills covered, money you can leave alone | Look at land | Trades ready cash for later resale value |
Think of this as a budget-based path, not a fastest exploit. The figures below come from the game's public configuration checked on 4 October 2026. Everything is virtual naira: the official terms say it cannot be cashed out or traded outside the game.
Start with the bills, not the wallet total
A LAPO Baby's opening balance includes borrowed money, and that money comes back out on a schedule:
| Home | Weekly rent | Normal seven-day LAPO payment | Reserve for one rent-plus-loan cycle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mushin | ?2,400 | ?12,000 | ?14,400 |
| Yaba | ?6,000 | ?12,000 | ?18,000 |
Rent is taken on Saturday morning; the loan follows its own seven-day cycle. Keep both covered, then add food, travel and anything overdue to that reserve.
Five entry-level Banking shifts pay ?21,000 in base pay. After one normal Mushin rent-plus-loan cycle you are left with ?6,600 before everyday costs; in Yaba it is ?3,000. That is arithmetic from the scheduled pay, not a week-one guarantee — the day you start, missed shifts, spending and updates all change the result.
Nepo Babies usually have rent covered and a level 3 job, but spending the whole ?500,000 opening balance still leaves no buffer. The Nepo vs LAPO comparison explains when Daddy's rent support stops.
Improve the job you already have
Banking has the best entry pay at ?4,200, but your next promotion can matter more than hopping to another entry job. Promotions need 100% performance and the career skill: skill levels 1, 3, 5 and 7 for job levels 2 to 5.
Use Go to work on your scheduled days and finish the shift. Winning four work tasks triggers the configured 15% task bonus. If you hit full performance and still are not promoted, check the skill requirement before spending another day only on work.
Compare career pay and working days rather than ranking jobs only by their level 5 payment — and remember that switching careers restarts you at level 1.
Use side gigs for the gap between shifts
A gig is an activity that pays, not something you own. Two need no skill at all: Help at the Buka pays a configured ?700 and Carry Load pays ?900. WhatsApp Hustle scales with your Hustle skill and needs no equipment purchase. Skilled gigs pay more once you qualify.
Before choosing a gig, ask three things:
- Do you meet the skill requirement?
- Can you afford any upfront cost — stock or entry fees come off the reward?
- Can your needs support the activity, including travel time and cooldowns?
Equipment helps only when you can use it. A Laptop Desk supports a Coding route, for example, but buying it before you qualify for Freelance Gig will not unlock that income yet.
Buy recurring income when the buffer survives the purchase
The POS Stand in Yaba costs ?500,000. On a normal day it makes ?2,000–?7,000 after running costs, before tax. On its configured bad day it loses ?4,500 instead. It pays out once at the daily evening settlement, not once per job shift.
Money left after the purchase ? upcoming bills + living costs + room for a business loss.
One bad day's loss is a sensible starting allowance, not protection against several bad days in a row. The first purchase records the current day, so do not count on a same-day payout to cover an immediate bill. Selling a business returns only 60% of the configured purchase price, so buying and quickly reversing is expensive.
Where the Mack Haulage Trailer fits
The trailer costs ?18,000,000. Its configured normal daily income is ?90,000–?160,000, minus a ?30,000 driver cost — ?60,000–?130,000 before tax. A breakdown day has an 8% configured chance and replaces that income with a ?95,000 repair loss. You can own up to three trailers; resale returns 60%.
It is another capital-heavy daily income route, not an early substitute for a job. Check Phone ? Invest for the current haulage offer and confirm your owned trailer count after buying.
Buy land for later resale, not next week's bills
The cheapest configured plot is Ikorodu at ?1,500,000. Land gains value the longer you hold it, but it never pays a daily wage. Selling deducts 5%, and some plots carry a chance of an extra 10% omo-onile charge when you buy.
A higher displayed value can still leave you below your total cost once fees are counted. Only put money into land that you will not need for rent or loan payments soon.
Understand the in-game tax
Tax is weekly and progressive: each rate applies only to the income inside its band, not to all your earnings.
| Eligible weekly income slice | Marginal rate |
|---|---|
| First ?1,000,000 | 0% |
| Above ?1,000,000 up to ?10,000,000 | 20% |
| Above ?10,000,000 up to ?50,000,000 | 40% |
| Above ?50,000,000 | 45% |
For example, ?1,200,000 of eligible income in one game week produces ?40,000 tax: 20% of the ?200,000 above the allowance. The game rounds deductions and checks the running weekly total. Salary, gig rewards and positive business or haulage settlements can all be taxable — check Bank for your own totals.
This is a game mechanic, not Nigeria's real-world tax system. Money from selling an asset, or a rise in land's displayed value, is not treated like ordinary wages.
Check actual payments before the next purchase
After a shift or gig, read the payment notice and your Bank balance. After an asset settles, read its income or loss notice. Plan your next move from that real cash position, not from a table's maximum payout.
Do not build a plan around gifts from other players. In a developer post on 4 October 2026, sending money was described as awaiting restoration — check the game itself before relying on a transfer.
If money or an asset goes missing unexpectedly, note exactly what the game shows and contact support ([email protected]) rather than buying again to "fix" it. Keep the next bills covered while it is sorted out.
